On point. Dallas is Dallas.

Ride or Die.

“The joy of life consists in the exercise of one’s energies, continual growth, constant change, the enjoyment of every new experience. To stop means simply to die. The eternal mistake of mankind is to set up an attainable ideal.”  Aleister Crowley

Howdy follks

Thanks a million for the ridiculous support on the first Dallas is Dallas drop. I guess I have to keep it going despite of my original ideas for the brand (?).

Stay Positive

-Hance

To the ends of the Earth.

For the first time in my life, I don’t feel like I have “my whole life ahead of me”. At the same time, I don’t feel old. I feel alive. Let me explain. I never appreciated time. I’ve always taken it for granted. There were moments when I would want to fast forward. I thought my life was boring. I wanted to get to the good parts. Now, I believe time is the most valuable resource we have. It is limited. To everyone, no matter how privileged or gifted. But instead of sitting there staring at the hourglass, I feel like breaking the glass and touching the sand.

I am 31 years old and everything in my life has brightened. This has less to do with urgency or a ticking clock and more to do with shifting from perception to perspective. Perception is what we think or feel about something or someone based on our past experiences. Perspective is not so much about past experiences but simply the view from which we observe something.

This switch occurs through pain. Through asking yourself some very difficult questions. Though checking your ego, fighting fear, letting go, and seeking truth. For me, it took loss of close friends, failed relationships, and new careers. I don’t know what it will take for you or maybe you’ve already made the switch. And if you have, you know it’s not a switch but rather a long fucking dirt road. But here’s what I do know. If you’re not on it, get on it.

Because this shift has allowed me to remove judgement, peel labels, and finally see and appreciate what’s in front of me instead of looking back or focusing on what’s ahead. It has given me the ability to soak moments, hold time with two hands, and feel it instead of watching it. Changing from perception to perspective has given me new lenses.  Simply put, it’s the only thing that can stop time.

“Promise Yourself  To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.  To make all your friends feel that there is something in them To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.  To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.  To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.  To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.  To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but great deeds. To live in faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”
